What is Surf Hatteras?
Surf Hatteras is a weeklong overnight surf camp for kids and teens on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our purpose is to provide a warm, relational atmosphere with the safest possible environment for campers to experience the joy and adventure of surfing.
We keep a 1:2 staff to camper ratio, provide 1 on 1 surfing instruction for all levels, and offer countless activities in and out of the water, day and night. Our experienced staff members are not only committed to ensuring the absolute safety of every individual, in the water and on the shore, but also to making sure that every camper has the week of his or her life!

Why We’re Different
We truly believe that what we offer at Surf Hatteras is utterly unique. Like so many, we LOVE surfing, and our goal has been to share that joy of surfing with the next generation. But over the years we've noticed that something wasn't quite right with summer surf camps. Somewhere along the way the organic adventure of learning to surf among family and friends was traded for the now all-too-familiar scene of overcrowded day camps fighting for tiny waves in confined spaces. Sure, it's still fun. But there's so much more! So we set out to do something different.
This was our formula: Smaller groups. Better waves. Epic location. Overnight sessions. Top-notch staff. Endless activities. Great food. Comfortable lodging. Serious about safety. Ridiculous about fun. This is Surf Hatteras.
